The House of Saint Brown is proud to highlight Derrick Ofosu Boateng, a Saint Brown Society Club member whose artistry brings the spirit of Accra to the world. Our connection with Derrick runs deep, from featuring him on the Saint Brown Club Society Banking Panel Talks to supporting his latest exhibition at Somerset House—a showcase of vibrant storytelling that captures the heart of Ghana.
"Accra is a welcoming place," Derrick shares. "There’s an energy here, a joy that flows through its streets. My photography is a love letter to that energy, capturing the everyday beauty that makes Accra so unique." His work transcends local boundaries, using bold colors to depict the resilience and warmth of his homeland.
Derrick’s journey began with an iPhone gifted by his father, which sparked a global following and led to collaborations with Google and an album cover for Common’s A Beautiful Revolution. His Somerset House exhibition features School & Art, a collaborative piece with 10-year-old Ayitey from Accra, reflecting his dedication to promoting art in Ghanaian schools.
Through his lens, Derrick shares not just images but a movement—connecting Accra’s vibrancy with a global audience and elevating the role of art in education. As a proud member of the House of Saint Brown, he continues to inspire, making waves across the world while staying true to his roots.
